Our take on the Sennheiser MD 46
The Sennheiser MD 46 is a handheld cardioid dynamic interview mic, for IRL streamers who talk to people on the street. At a tracked $149 it sits near the top of a $143.96 to $149 range since August 9, 2026, so there is little to wait for.
The maker describes it as a reporter's mic built for rough use, with a double-layer grille that cuts wind and pop noise. Impedance is 350 ohm. A handheld mic fills one hand, so it suits interviews more than hands-free walking. Retailer rating is 4.7 across 107 ratings.
