Our take on the Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-0601

The Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-0601 is a weighted desk mic stand for streamers who want a stable mic without a boom arm. It fits popular podcast mics.

The base is 6 inches round and weighted to reduce vibration. A twist clutch sets height between 10 and 15 inches. The stand takes the SM7B, MV7, Procaster and PodMic. Steel build weighs 1.3 kg. Retailers rate it 4.5 across 328 ratings, at a tracked $39.99. On a desk it keeps the mic at a fixed height, which suits a streamer who talks close to a stand.

Pros
  • Weighted base reduces vibration
  • Fits SM7B, MV7, Procaster and PodMic
  • Steel build
Cons
  • Height tops out at 15 inches
  • Desk stand, not a boom to keep the mic out of frame
