Our take on the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
The AMD Ryzen 9 3900X is a 12 core, 24 thread processor that ships with a Wraith Prism cooler, for streamers who want many threads on an AM4 board. At a tracked $234.50 it sits at the top of a $169.99 to $234.50 range from August 9 to October 19, 2026, so it is a wait-for-a-dip buy.
The cooler in the box saves a separate purchase, which is the detail that decides value here. The listing gives a 4.6GHz max boost and DDR 3200 support. More threads help when the game, OBS, chat and a browser source all run at once. The cache is listed at 64 MB in the specs. Retailer rating is 4.8 across 12,625 ratings.
