Our take on the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X is a 64 core, 128 thread workstation processor, aimed at streamers who also render video on the same PC. At a tracked $3,300.49 it sits at the bottom of a $3,300.49 to $4,650 range from August 9 to October 19, 2026.
The listing gives a 4.3GHz max boost, 288MB of cache and quad-channel DDR4 with 88 PCIe 4.0 lanes. It is rated at 280W TDP and a cooler is not included, so power and cooling are part of the bill. Most streams do not need 64 cores, and the packet does not say anything about game performance. Retailer rating is 4.4 across only 69 ratings.
