Our take on the Logitech Blue Sona

The Logitech Blue Sona is an XLR dynamic mic with a built-in preamp, for streamers who want a broadcast mic that works with a quiet interface. It has a supercardioid pickup.

A ClearAmp preamp adds 25 dB of gain so you do not need a booster. A dual-diaphragm capsule is aimed at rejecting key clicks and room noise. A 290 degree swivel mount lets you point it where you like, and the shockmount is internal. Windscreens swap for a custom look. It weighs 615 g. Retailers rate it 4.7 across 128 ratings.

Pros
  • Built-in +25 dB ClearAmp preamp
  • Supercardioid pickup rejects room noise
  • Internal shockmount
Cons
  • XLR needs an interface or mixer
  • Weighs 615 g, so it needs a sturdy arm
