Our take on the Drop PC38X

The Drop PC38X is a gaming headset with angled drivers and a noise-cancelling mic, for streamers who play competitive games. It has a mesh-knit headband for comfort.

Angled drivers aim to help you place sound around you. The mic is made for close, loud speech and is tuned to reduce pops and hisses. Impedance is 28 ohm and the headset weighs 10.24 ounces. The listing calls it an upgrade on the PC37X. Retailers rate it 4.3 across 1,276 ratings. Keep it for gameplay and chat, and use a separate mic if you want a more polished voice on stream.

Pros
  • Angled drivers for positional sound
  • Mic tuned to reduce pops and hisses
  • Breathable mesh-knit headband
Cons
  • Tuned for games, not music mixing
  • Mic is built for close speech only
