Our take on the Elgato Facecam Pro
The Elgato Facecam Pro is a USB webcam with 4K60 video, for streamers who want a face cam that holds up in dim rooms. It clips to a monitor.
The lens is f/2.0 with a 21 mm view and autofocus or manual focus. A large Sony STARVIS sensor handles low light. Field of view goes up to 90 degrees. Pan, tilt, crop and zoom are done in software. Retailers rate it 4.4 across 441 ratings. Because it clips to a monitor, it sits at eye level on a desk and needs no extra stand.
Pros
- True 4K60 video
- Large Sony STARVIS sensor for low light
- Autofocus or manual focus
Cons
- Field of view tops out at 90 degrees
- Pan and zoom are digital crops
