Our take on the Canon EOS R50
The Canon EOS R50 is an entry-level mirrorless camera with a 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, aimed at streamers who want a real face cam. At a tracked $849 it sits at the top of its $799 to $849 range since August 12, 2026, so a sale is worth a short wait.
For a stream, the detail that matters is video: 4K at up to 30 frames per second, oversampled from 6K, plus Full HD at up to 120. The vari-angle touchscreen flips out so you can check framing from your chair. It uses the Canon RF mount and weighs 16 ounces. Like any real camera it needs a capture route into OBS. Retailer ratings average 4.5 across 1,668.
