Our take on the HyperX Cloud Alpha S

The HyperX Cloud Alpha S is a gaming headset with dual chamber drivers and a hybrid driver design, for streamers who want separate bass tuning and a mixer. It offers 7.1 surround through NGENUITY.

A control mixer lets you balance game and chat levels, switch on surround and mute the mic. Controls are listed for PC and PS4. Frequency response is listed at 23 KHz. Retailers rate it 5 across 6 ratings. The mixer is the detail that decides it, since it lets you turn game audio down when chat gets busy.

Pros
  • Dual chamber drivers
  • Game and chat balance control
  • 7.1 surround through NGENUITY
Cons
  • Only 6 retailer ratings
  • Mixer controls are listed for PC and PS4 only
