Our take on the Amaran Ray 120c RGBWW COB Light
The Amaran Ray 120c is a 120W RGBWW COB light for streamers who want a main light with full color control.
Its tracked $259 has not moved across 3 points from August 26 to October 1, 2026. The listing gives a color temperature range of 1800K to 20000K and OmniColor for accurate color. It takes Bowens mount modifiers, so softboxes and reflectors fit. It can be powered from USB-C PD 3.0 chargers and power banks, and it connects by USB-C and NFC. At 120W it is a lot of light for a face cam, so expect to use a softbox. Retailer rating is 4.9 across 47 ratings.
- Wide 1800K to 20000K color range
- Bowens mount takes standard modifiers
- Runs from USB-C PD power
- $259 is a lot for a single light
- Needs a modifier to soften a 120W source
- Price history is only 3 flat points
Where it fits in a build
A lit face reads as higher production than any camera upgrade. At a desk one key light is enough; in the field a pocket light on the rig keeps you visible after dark. See every lighting pick

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model.
