Our take on the Astronaut Expandable Bubble Pack
The LAIRIES expandable bubble pack is a pet carrier backpack with a hard front bubble and a mesh extension that opens up. Its tracked price has stayed at $43.99 since July 4, 2026, so there is no sale pattern to wait for.
The listing says it fits cats up to 20 pounds and has nine vent holes and a side window for easy access. The bag itself weighs 3 pounds, and it measures 11.5 by 11.5 by 16 inches. An extra chest buckle reduces bounce on a hike. It is sold for animals and airline use, so a streamer thinking about a rig should test the fit first. Rated 4.5 across 111 retailer ratings.
- Front extension adds room
- Nine vent holes plus a side window
- Extra chest buckle to cut bounce
- Sold as a pet carrier, not a camera bag
- Weighs 3 pounds before you load anything
- Price has stayed flat with no tracked sale

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model. Prices are tracked at build time, not live, and were last refreshed 2026-10-22. How the numbers are derived: methodology. How picks are chosen: editorial policy.
