Our take on the Godox ML40Bi Bi-Color LED Video Light
The Godox ML40Bi is a palm-sized bi-color LED video light, a cheaper pick than the RGB version for streamers who just want white light.
At a tracked $99 it sits at the top of an $89 to $99 range across 9 points from August 26 to October 19, 2026, so waiting for a dip may pay off. It measures 3.82 by 3.82 by 3.58 inches and connects by Bluetooth, with control through NFC pairing, the Godox Light App or the light itself. The Godox mount lets you add modifiers. The listing does not give brightness or battery numbers, so check those before buying. Retailer rating is 4.6 across 18 ratings.
- Compact enough to carry in a pocket
- App, NFC and on-body control
- $20 less than the RGB model
- Tracked price is at the top of its range
- Only 18 retailer ratings
- No brightness or battery figures listed
Where it fits in a build
A lit face reads as higher production than any camera upgrade. At a desk one key light is enough; in the field a pocket light on the rig keeps you visible after dark. See every lighting pick

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model. Prices are tracked at build time, not live, and were last refreshed 2026-10-22. How the numbers are derived: methodology. How picks are chosen: editorial policy.
