Our take on the Shimoda Explore V2 25
The Shimoda Explore V2 25 is a carry-on-size camera backpack sold as a starter kit, with a Small Mirrorless Core Unit and a rain cover. It costs a tracked $372.90, unchanged across seven points from August 26 to October 19, 2026.
There are two ways in: a rear anti-theft panel for the full pack and a side opening for fast access. The Core Unit gives shockproof dividers for a mirrorless body and lenses. A 5 year warranty is listed. The device sleeve tops out at 12.6 inches. Retailer ratings average 4.1 over just 36 reviews, which is thin evidence for the price.

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model. Prices are tracked at build time, not live, and were last refreshed 2026-10-22. How the numbers are derived: methodology. How picks are chosen: editorial policy.
