Our take on the Sony TOUGH-G 128GB SDXC
The Sony TOUGH-G 128GB is a full-size SDXC card rated V90, built for UHS-II cameras and heavy recording. It costs a tracked $243, near the bottom of its $242.39 to $334.2 range since August 26, 2026.
Sony lists 300MB/s read and 299MB/s write on UHS-II, IPX8 waterproofing, IP6X dust protection, and a drop rating to 5 meters. Used in a UHS-I device, speeds fall to 95MB/s read and 90MB/s write, so the camera decides what you get. For a streamer, this is camera-backup media, not phone media. It is a lot of money for 128GB, but the tracked price is close to its floor.
- V90 rating with 299MB/s write on UHS-II
- IPX8 waterproof and IP6X dustproof
- Tracked price near its lowest, $242.39
- Full speed needs a UHS-II camera
- Expensive for 128GB of storage
- Full-size SDXC, not microSD
