Our take on the Elgato HD60 S+
The Elgato HD60 S+ is an external capture card that records 1080p60 HDR10 and passes 4K60 HDR10 through to your display. It suits console streamers and anyone feeding an HDMI camera into a PC.
At a tracked $297.36 it sits in the lower half of a $274.99 to $343.43 range since August 9, 2026, so a small dip is possible but not guaranteed. The key detail is that 4K60 is passthrough only: what reaches your stream is capped at 1080p60. The listing names Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X, PS5 and PS4 Pro for passthrough. It also lists instant gameview for low delay and unlimited recording to disk. Retailer rating is 4.6 across 11,598 ratings.
- 4K60 HDR10 passthrough keeps your gameplay screen sharp
- Instant gameview for low delay while playing
- 4.6 across 11,598 retailer ratings
- Capture itself tops out at 1080p60
- Tracked above its $274.99 low

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model. Prices are tracked at build time, not live, and were last refreshed 2026-10-22. How the numbers are derived: methodology. How picks are chosen: editorial policy.
