Our take on the Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS
The Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS is a lightweight full-frame zoom for E-mount cameras, for streamers who want a basic kit lens with stabilization. At a tracked $448 it sits at the top of a $179.99 to $448 range from August 9 to October 1, 2026, so it is a clear wait-for-a-sale buy.
The lens has built-in Optical SteadyShot, three aspherical elements and one ED glass element. The aperture is slower than f/2.8 zooms, so a dim room needs more light. The listing gives a maximum magnification of 0.19x. Retailer rating is 4.4 across 266 ratings.
