Our take on the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD
The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD is a standard zoom with a constant f/2.8 aperture for full-frame Sony E mount cameras. At a tracked $799 it sits at the top of its $699 to $799 range from Aug 9 to Oct 1, 2026, so a sale could save $100. The retailer score is 4.7 across 897 ratings.
It weighs 19.4 ounces and is 4.6 inches long. Minimum object distance is 7.5 inches at wide angle and 15.3 inches at the telephoto end. The RXD autofocus motor is quiet, which is good for video capture. Weather protection comes from a moisture resistant build and a fluorine coating. The listing names the A7R IV and A7S III among compatible bodies. A fast zoom helps in a dim room and gives soft backgrounds behind a face cam.
