Our take on the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS
The Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS is a full-frame macro lens with a 1:1 magnification ratio, for streamers who show small products close up. At a tracked $1,048 it sits at the top of its $948 to $1,048 range from Aug 9 to Oct 1, 2026, so a sale could save $100. The retailer score is 4.6 across 512 ratings.
Minimum focus distance is 0.28 m. Optical SteadyShot helps handheld close-ups, and a sliding focus ring switches between manual and auto. A 9 blade circular aperture shapes the background. It weighs 602 g and is dust and moisture resistant. The angle of view is 27 degrees on full frame. For unboxing or craft streams, the long working distance keeps the lens away from the item.
- 1:1 macro magnification with Optical SteadyShot
- 0.28 m minimum focus distance
- Dust and moisture resistant design
- Tracked price is at the top of its range
- 602 g is heavy for a handheld IRL kit
