Our take on the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2
The Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 is a full-frame wide prime for Sony E mount cameras, for streamers who want a sharp, wide face cam shot. At a tracked $1,049.99 it sits at the top of its $887 to $1,049.99 range from Aug 9 to Oct 1, 2026, so this is a wait-for-a-sale buy. The retailer score is 4.5 across 128 ratings.
Its standout feature is an OLED display on the lens that shows focus distance and depth of field, which helps in dim rooms. The metal build is listed as dust and spray water resistant. Autofocus is described as smooth and reliable, and Zeiss lists strong resolution and contrast with reduced stray light. At 25mm the view is wide enough for a desk shot at arm's length. The listing gives no weight or filter size.
