Our take on the RØDE VideoMic Pro+

The RØDE VideoMic Pro+ is an on-camera shotgun mic for IRL streamers and vloggers who need clean audio fed into the camera. At a tracked $247 it sits at the bottom of a $247 to $270 range since August 9, 2026.

It has a Lyre suspension mount to cut handling noise and digital switching for its settings. Power comes from the included lithium-ion battery, 2 AA batteries, or continuously over micro USB, and the mic powers off by itself when you unplug it from the camera. The shotgun pattern favors what the camera faces. Retailer rating is 4.6 across 799 ratings.
