Our take on the Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8 G Master
The Sony FE 12-24mm F2.8 G Master is an ultra-wide full-frame zoom for E-mount cameras, suited to streamers who want a wide room shot from a close camera. At a tracked $3,248 it sits at the top of a $3,148 to $3,248 range from August 9 to October 1, 2026.
A constant F2.8 across the zoom lets in more light for a dim room. The wide end at 12mm lets a camera mounted close to the desk still show the whole setup. It weighs 847g, which matters on an arm or gimbal. The listing says it has four XD linear motors for autofocus. Retailer rating is 4.6 across only 78 ratings, so the sample is small.
