Our take on the Razer Kraken
The Razer Kraken for console is a wired gaming headset with a retractable mic, suited to streamers who want an inexpensive headset. At a tracked $99.01 it sits near the top of its $79.99 to $99.95 range since August 9, 2026, so wait for a sale.
It uses 50mm drivers and gel-infused cushions. An in-line wheel controls volume and a switch mutes the mic. The retractable cardioid mic pulls back when not in use. The listing says the 7.1 surround is software based and only on Windows 10 64-bit. Retailer ratings average 4.5 across 48,537.

Where it fits in a build
Monitor your audio. Closed-back headphones (no mic) are the pro pick if you mic separately; a headset adds a mic for comms or casual use. See every headphones / headset pick

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model.
