Our take on the Sony α7R V
The Sony α7R V is a 61 megapixel full-frame camera with AI autofocus, aimed at photographers more than most streamers. At a tracked $3,498 it sits at the top of its $3,298 to $3,498 range since August 12, 2026, so waiting could save $200.
The listing cites a dedicated AI processing unit, real-time recognition autofocus, 8K 24p and 4K 60p video. It uses the BIONZ XR engine. The packet lists no live video output. Retailers rate it 4.5 across 282 ratings. It is more camera than a face cam needs.

We do not lab-test hardware. Ratings and review counts come from the retailer listing and are labelled as such; stream-quality figures are conservative planning budgets from our published model. Prices are tracked at build time, not live, and were last refreshed 2026-10-22. How the numbers are derived: methodology. How picks are chosen: editorial policy.
