What it contributes to the stream
This part alone, with every other slot assumed generous and a platform that allows the tier. Your build's real verdict is the lowest ceiling across all its slots, which is what the configurator computes. Conservative planning budgets, not measurements: methodology.
Our take on the Elgato Facecam MK.2
The Elgato Facecam MK.2 is a 1080p webcam that supports 60 frames per second, built for a face cam that matches fast gameplay. At a tracked $119.99 it sits in the middle of its $94.99 to $139.99 range since June 2026, so a sale could knock about $25 off.
The detail that matters is the uncompressed output at up to 1080p60, which keeps latency low and gives OBS a clean feed. The listing also names HDR at 1080p30 and a slide shutter for privacy. Camera Hub software exposes manual controls such as ISO and shutter speed, so you can lock the look in a dim room instead of trusting auto. The retailer rating is 4.3 across 1,608 ratings.
- Uncompressed 1080p60 output for clean OBS capture
- Manual ISO and shutter control in Camera Hub
- Built-in slide shutter for privacy
- Resolution stops at 1080p
- Tracked price is above the low of $94.99
- Best settings depend on Camera Hub software
